Ryan White Program

BJHCHS has received Ryan White funding since 1998 to serve People Living with HIV (PLWH) to provide access to affordable primary and specialty medical care and treatment, medical case management, HIV medications and non-HIV medications.

In 2016, BJHCHS was provided with additional resources to expand core services and supplement support services in efforts to ending the HIV epidemic and getting to zero new infections.  The expansion of RW services includes medical transportation, oral health, health insurance premiums and cost sharing, behavioral health, food bank services, emergency financial assistance, housing assistance, and outreach services.

The RW Program also received additional support to increase access to medical care, treatment, and medications to under served women, infants, children, and youth (under 25 years of age).  Additionally, the RW Program provides assistance with increasing access to and use of HIV prevention efforts through PrEP with enhanced outreach and HIV testing.

Our program is designed to help improve the quality and availability of primary health care with respect to AIDS/HIV disease.
