Mrs. Smith joined BJH as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in January 2016. She was born and raised near Ruffin, South Carolina, before moving to Varnville, South Carolina, where she currently resides with her family. She attended Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, from 2003 until 2007. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she began working at Beaufort Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse where she worked from 2007 until 2015. While working as a nurse in Beaufort, she felt a strong desire to further her education. She then attended South University in Savannah, Georgia, from 2013 until 2015 as she continued working as a Registered Nurse. After graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she resigned at Beaufort Memorial Hospital to pursue a career in her local community with BJH. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children on their family farm when she is not providing care to those in her community.
