The Farm Worker Health Program at Leroy Brown Medical Center on St. Helena Island is a federally funded program that provides medical, dental and social services to the migrant and seasonal farm worker population in the Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties.
Program Services: The scope of services is based on individual and farmer assessments carried out by our staff of qualified and culturally sensitive professionals.

Social services such as:
assistance with applications for food stamps
Facilitating access to food banks
Facilitating access to other community agencies.
Facilitating referrals to specialty providers.
The Program also offers a night clinic from June 1st until around July 15th. The night clinic is held during the tomato and watermelon-picking season.
The clinic opens at 7 PM, Monday through Thursday, and remains open until the last patient is seen. We are now open on Saturdays, from 9:00AM to 2:00PM
An outreach team coordinates health education and visits the labor camps.
